SySDSoft and Mentor Graphics Announce Joint Development of Mobile WiMAX Solutions

SySDSoft Inc. a leading provider of embedded software for the global wireless broadband market, and Mentor Graphics a leading supplier of electronic hardware and software design solutions announced today their joint development of Mobile WiMAX solutions. The WiMAX MAC running on Nucleus® OS significantly accelerates the design of next-generation WiMAX gear.
The SySDSoft MAC implementation is based on a flexible design that has been optimized on Nucleus® OS from Mentor Graphics. The resulting solution offers a complete feature set of 802.16e Wave 2/ Corrigendum 2 MAC software, hardware drivers, operating system and PHY interfaces, alongside of well defined MAC API's. SySDSoft's MAC supports advanced features such as Sleep Mode, Idle Mode, and Security Sublayer. A very advanced Scheduler architecture guarantees quality of service even under heavy traffic conditions. SySDSoft offers a full-featured MAC layer that is ready-to-port to a variety of HW platforms and physical layer chipsets, delivering the highest throughput.
